Exactly Who I Had In Mind

Coming into 2022 my New Years Resolutions were made in a hurry and sort of something I pumped out for the sake of tradition. Among them was obtaining at least one autograph of "someone I'd like to add to my collection".

When I wrote that I did have a specific person in mind. I wasn't quite sure if getting an autograph of theirs would even be possible. But fast forward to the halfway point for this year and it became a reality.

YES! HER!
The girl you see there a cosplay model named Chimu. Her brand of cosplay is centered on cute characters and photoshoots. I think that maid cosplay get-up seen above is a perfect example (and for those who are curious she is of age, or at least old enough to drink alcohol). She posts a lot of her photoshoots on her personal Twitter page, her official Twitter page, her Instagram page, and her Fantia page.

Anyway the scan above is the cover of her photo album "Relief" which was released around May, 2021. As far as I can tell it was self-published too. As you can see she also signed it with her cute signature. I wasn't really expecting the photo album to come signed, especially since it was over a year old, but I took a shot to see what would happen and it worked. Turns out buying from the creators directly has its advantages.

The photo album is around 40 pages of Chimu wearing three different maid outfits. You can see some examples on her Twitter page like here and here.

There was also this hand-written note that's basically a "thank you for your support" type of message. Also unexpected but very appreciated.

Also these photographs were added in as extras.
I think the first photograph with the signature in red ink might be a real signature but the second one is definitely a printed faux-autograph. But I at least have an actual signature on the book and she looks super cute in that picture so it's fine.

Of course my second favorite part of this is that after I tweeted how much I appreciated just how much care went into this package I got a reply from Chimu herself, again saying how she appreciates the support she gets from the fans.

I apologize that this is more of a "show-and-tell" type of post where I'm basically just showing pictures of a cute girl over and over (actually no, I'm not sorry about that). But honestly, doing research and looking into her past would've made me feel a bit weird, we're not talking about an athlete with a public track record that's documented for all to see here.

Anyway, mission accomplished. One autograph obtained. Pack it in boys, we're done.

As always thanks for stopping by and take care.

  1. Yes, no apologies necessary for showing pictures of pretty girls. We're supposed to look at dudes in uniforms all the time?

  2. What a fantastic looking signature! One thing I've noticed about some Japanese athletes and entertainers is that they take their time and put some effort into them.

    1. They know their fans care and want them to know they care too.
